Idyllic house in Denmark - sea view, private beach access and 2.000 m2 garden
|Living Area:||250 m²|
Situated by one of Denmark’s most beautiful bays in the Southfune Archipelago. The 2.000 m² piece of land, situated less than 200 m from the beach, is a big cosy garden with a beautiful population of old trees and a large parking place/yard with pearl gravel. There is a stunning panorama view to the sea and private access to the beach. Beyond that you will find a very popular public bathing beach very close by as well as a small hotel with restaurant.
The thatched timbered country house was fully renovated and refurbished in last years in the very best quality - with great care and loving respect for the original style and charm of the old house. The property is situated in the far end of a small blind alley and offers the utmost level of calm and nature, and at the same time it is close to the main street between the two very charming harbour cities Faaborg and Svendborg.
The renovation has been carried out in accordance with special aesthetic and energetic principles (Feng Shui) and has been done by experts, as the seller personally attaches great value to these issues. Especially the new thatched roof impresses with its dormers, its aesthetic form and top-quality handcraft.
Beyond the oil-fuelled central heating, partly under-floor heating, there are three wooden stoves in the house. Most floors are with new wooden plank flooring. The interior is impressive with many unique details - interesting plank-ceiling, stone floorings made of old original bricks, charming balcony, wooden pillars, large in-wall money/weapon safe, and two lovely staircases of wood.
The app. 315 m² building on the property includes:
Living area 275 m² with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, big dining- and TV-room with wood stove, large hall/library with stone flooring and wood stove, 2 big living rooms - one of them with wood stove, sea view and balcony with panorama view over the Southfune Archipelago, 4 sleeping rooms, office/atelier with sea view, back entrance with access to the garden. Moreover app. 40 m² insulated workshop/stable, which might easily be changed into living area.
The property can also be the base for someone enjoying the special Danish sea-hunting or a passionate angler. This area is known for many fine seatrouts, lots of codfish as well as a large number of eiders spending the wintertime in these waters.
The furniture can eventually be purchased as well.
Denmark is a small, calm and very civilized country with a stabile political system, good public health- and elder care, fine education system, general high welfare and extremely low criminality especially in the countryside. A well developed social care and uncorrupt system (number 1 in the world on the list of least corrupt countries!) protects against social trouble and the old, well established democratic system ensures freedom of belief, religion and absolute freedom of speech.
Danes have a high environmental awareness and Denmark was the first country in the world to implement environmental law and is at the forefront in the technology of many green energy sources. Climatically Denmark is mild at all seasons – the average winter is not very cold, and the average summer is nice and often warm but not too hot and drought is very rare. The ‘little country in the middle’ always seems to be spared by nature disasters as there are no typhoons, earthquakes, monsoons or anything of the sort. The only real risk is rising water level, but also in this concern the property is entirely safe.
A safe and calm place to live.
