I have a 2008, 3 bed, 3 outside terrace, 3 bath, solar heated, 3 mins from brighton central station, terraced 'eco house', with garage - electric door, luxuriously fitted.Great panoramic views over the centre of town. I want to sell or scale-down as live abroad now.House cost me 500K 18 mths ago. Would (ideally) just sell for my mortgage figure of £435000 (means I've lost 70K in 18 mths)! BUT WOULD ALSO CONSIDER SIMULTANEOUSLY BUYING YOURS for up to 190,000 if your house or flat was really nice, in a good position and up to max 1.5 hours travel from central London - or even IN London in a nice area. Otherwise, I'd consider anywhere from Hampshire to Kent to Herts. Due to the downturn, my house now worth about 430K but expected to be back up to 450K by Autumn and 500K in a couple of years. So if you want to live in this vibrant city it may be a great investment opportunity for you too. I'm looking to trade-down to a small 2 bed house (with character) or nice good spec flat at max 190- 200K - Yours needs to be in great condition so I can rent it out immediately. Not looking for ex local authority or 'family' homes - sorry - but only interested in something really nice or different. Mine currently rented out for 3 more months and will re-rent if I can't make a sale in the next few weeks due to my limited 'window' of opportunity between leases.
