• 2 Bed/1 Bath Detached Villa in Sucina, Murcia.

Our Villa is on a small Urbanisation attached to a great Spanish village/town. The village is about ten minutes walk and has a good choice of bars (at least seven). As well as the expected eating establishments, there is a Fish & Chip Shop - which has great fare but is a little expensive if you're on a tight budget. There is also a curry restaurant/takeaway - again a bit OTT with prices but well worth a visit. (What are we? Food critics?). A pizzeria has recently opened but we cannot comment as we don't have personal experience.

The Urbanisation has mostly UK residents but there are a few other nationalities including Spanish and the ubiqitous Yorkshire Terrier. There's a really cute Yorkie down the street called Salvatore!

A motorway is well under construction which will make Murcia (MJV) Airport and the beaches of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean a ten to fifteen-minute drive away. The new airport at Corvera when completed in 2010 (?!?) will also be a short hop.

The villagers and the newcomers have integrated extremely well and many joint ventures/celebrations take place. Most people speak when they pass you in the street. It's like UK village life was ten years ago.

The villa itself sits on a small, easily managed plot of land. The garden is laid with membrane and coloured gravel. As we have never lived in the place permanently we have never bothered planting anything - making the place a lock-and-go which is also big enough to live in permanently.

There is a large roof-solarium accessed by an outside staircase and a few extras including: -

• Built-in shed under stairs
• A/C in main bedroom
• Panel heaters throughout the property
• Tiled off-road parking for two cars/sitting area
• White goods
• Rest of furniture negotiable

Looking to swap for: Our requirements are: -

• We would like to stay in same area but will consider a move to any country with warm climate
• We would like to be within 30 minutes of the coast
• Minimum of two bedrooms
• Minimum of two bathrooms
• Private pool, room to build one or near beach
• Not too isolated

We are prepared to pay a cash differential of  up E50,000 for the right property
