A superbly positioned large villa suitable for B&B business, boutique hotel or just a lovely spacious home. The rebuild was valued at over 260K for the house alone (papers with solicitor support this)and does not include the valuable, almost totally flat land, envied by all as flat land is costly and desirable in Madeira as many seek but cannot find flat land on the island. There are five/six bedrooms mostly en-suite, most with own  patios or balconies, a lovely bar room, large lounge, large modern kitchen, and separate dining room. The area is famous for levada walking worldwide, birdwatching, cycling and quiet rural pursuits or just enjoying peace and quiet. Supermarkets, beach, quiet bars and restaraunts are few minutes walk away. There is a wonderfully friendly welcoming atmosphere in the the village and locals are most helpful in every way. English is widely spoken. Almost 50% of the area is inhabited by sensible, quiet, retired ex- pats, (well spread out around the countryside) who hail from every part of Europe . There are  only a very few low rise flats around mainly lived in by shop keepers and not let to tourists.  There are no noisy discos or lager louts around the area and that goes for the island as a whole. It is a world heritage site, voted a destination of excellence and designated the Galapagos of Europe. It has always been called  the Pearl of the Atlantic and has an 'eternal spring' 18c to 28c degree climate and 365 sunny days a year. The whole island is just a subtropical paradise and the locals claim l it's 'the place where God kissed the world after he created it.',  No one could help but love the position of this property and the sunsets over the ocean are the most dramatic we have seen. You will not be disappointed in the superb position.

There are several separate entrances to the villa and one large en-suite bedroom with stunning views has a completely separate staircase and entrance and has a roof terrace making for excellent rental accommodation. Several large and very expensive hotels (within 6 kilometers) are always full and therefore we have had many inquiries for B&B. However we have to return to UK very frequently and this makes taking bookings impossible for us. The health care on the island is excellent but I require specialist treatment of a type that is only available in UK. So if you like nature and a wonderful environment this could be the one for you. We searched most of Europe before buying this and are very sad about losing it, but it is a case of needs must.

Looking to swap for: We would like to swap for a smaller property and cash, almost anywhere considered, and are open to offers/suggestions/negotiation. The property as mentioned before was valued at 375k so new price of 295K is a real bargain for a property of this type in this position. There is also a possibility of development into two houses or select flats.
