There is a fourth bedroom downstairs with adjoining bathroom.  There are three balconies.  There is also a 100m2 basement which includes  two parking spaces.  The garden (400m2) surrounds the house and contains lemon, pomegranate, olives, palm, cypress and pine trees.

The villa was built over two years in 78/79 and is solidly built with thick walls and floors.  All windows are double glazed.  Villa faces south to get maximum winter sun.

The villa is situated in the South of Perpignan next to the countryside.  It is a 10 minute drive into the city and there is also a bus stop 1 minute away from the villa.

The villa is in a small high standing 'lotissement' where every house has been designed by different architects and every house has a unique design.  We chose to live here because we felt safer to have neighbours rather than living in an isolated area. The neighbours are very friendly and water our plants when we are away!

There are NHS doctors/specialists/dentists 1 minute from the house.   Excellent schools are nearby and you are a 2 minute drive from Auchan and other big shops.

It's a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute cycle to a lake where you can swim, fish or canoe. 

It is a 10 minute drive to the beaches (Canet  and St. Cyprien).   Canet has an Olympic pool and St. Cyprien has a golf course.

This is wine making country with a lot of famous wineries situated nearby.

It is a 1 and a quarter drive to the local ski resort (Font Romeu). There are also many thermal resorts nearby.  It is a half hour drive to the Spanish border.

There are daily flights from Perpignan airport to the UK via Ryannair and Easyjet, BMIbaby etc.  It is an hour's drive to Girona airport (Spain) where you can catch flights going almost anywhere.

Perpignan is the capital of Rousillon and is located on a plain between the sea and the mountains and is perfect cycling country.

Last, but not least, it is situated in Cathar country and you can visit many ruined Cathar castles and medieval walled towns.

It is reputedly sunny for 345 days a year.
